Ernesto Valabrega sideboard, metal and oak, Italy, 1930s. A striking design by Ernesto Valabrega (1901–1944), known for his handcrafted, high-quality furniture. The trapezoid form is accentuated by embossed sides, pointed iron details, hammered metal connections, and finely carved oak panels, all hallmarks of Valabrega’s craftsmanship. Son of Vittorio Valabrega, Ernesto redefined the family business in the 1920s, embracing Arts and Crafts ideals. In good, used condition with minor scratches, water spots on top, and a small chip on one leg.
