Jean Claude Dresse, coffee table, brass and lacquered steel, Belgium, 1970s. Round table featuring hand-hammered abstract brass forms across the surface, creating a dynamic composition. The clustered rectangular black lacquered base provides architectural balance. Signed “Dresse” on the side of the top. Dresse, associated with the Walloon School, was known for combining visual art with furniture through techniques such as mosaic and etching, often using brass and copper. This piece is a strong example of his 1970s Belgian design.
