Rare Pare of Raffia Arm Chairs by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet

In very fine original condition, each chair is wrapped in braided raffia over an oak frame, seat height 44 cm (17.32"). A matching three-seat sofa is available. Designed by French Modernists Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, active in the 1940s–50s, their work embraced accessible materials suited to modern life. As members of the Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM), founded in 1929, they shared a platform with Charlotte Perriand, Francis Jourdain, Louis Sognot, and Pierre Chareau.
